Hope everyone is doing well ..

Guys yes! It is finally that time of the year when we all start getting ready for the annual iSikh Smagam. This year round we will be going to a serene place just on the outskirts of Nairobi .. The Lukenya Getaway - and believe me it really is a 'get-away' ..

So people lets get the suggestions / discussions regarding the smagams started on the forum .. Let us know what new stuff you would like to introduced in to the smagams, Anything in particular about Sikhi that you would like to be emphasized .. Feedback on how the camps were organised in the past and how to improve on our drawbacks .. Nows the time to talk!!!

Penji if u wana discuss Operation Blue Star at the camp as a lecture your input will definately be considered. however how would you like to do the lecture I could compile the material for you all you have to do is speak infront of the other campers . Please do contact me if interested at davinderpalrehal@gmail.com so i could sorta guide you through the presentation.

However if you wana discuss Operation Blue Star in the forum than you have to start a discussion topic in the discussions section of the forum.

Kiran I absolutely love that suggestion .. when are you getting back? I think that as opposed to what Davi said that we have a lecture lets have it as a seminar .. maybe call it the Sikh timelines or something .. Get some stuff put up together and lets chat online or on email with all our queries etc. Will you be going to that meet for the memorial on operation Bluestar this weekend in birmingham?

Deepak, Lets have your ideas on what you may want to see being done at the smagam. This could be in terms of lectures, seminars, anything in particular that you are looking forward to learn at the smagam etc.

I will hopefully be putting up a mock-up of the activities / schedule of a normal day at the smagam by the weekend to give the first-timers a cleare picture of what will be happening.

Lets have the ideas rolling people!

hope not to get some boring lectures there....let the lectures be interesting which will not allow the campers to get bored....how about extending the sleeping hours....lol....just hoping to meet n see many campers

lol... gud one Deepak pole mate but sleeping hours r most probably gona b short but hey u gona have the rest of the holidays to catchup with any sleep u missed .

ammm... not too sure if i should post this but for anyone concerned about the camping fees it has been reduced to 5,000 so guys lets start having registration coming in asap... for those that want a soft copy of the form please bare with me should be on the internet by the end of the week.
