Star Of The Month

I came up with a new idea...since we want to have more members...and once we have that we will introduce a new post..STAR OF THE MONTH....This idea will make users to be more regular and active...it will be a monthly post...the highest poster will get this rank at the end of the month....I wanted all our members to give their opinion on this...Thanks

I will def circulate the word around to the past campers tonight and hopefully will have some sorta response . i have posted teh info on the facebook group wall and sent individual messages to the campers that I have as friends on facebook .. so fingers crossed ..

PS: Do admins get a nomination for being the 'star of the month'? lol ..

Hehe Hkay thats very good....Lets hope to get as much as members we can and hopefully this forum will be one of our most successful forums.......Lets hope we get a positive response so that we can have more members in our forum...

And for the admins getting a nomination for being star of the month......I dont think that is possible. This is because star of the month is to check how many regular users we can get but if the admins are not regular then thats another case...but at the moment i think all admins are regular...And star of the month is just a person getting a different identity for a month and if the user goes on well he may be promoted to become a moderator for our forum.....Lets hope to get active users for this forum...and if you want admins to get that nomination we can do something about that but for now i havent thought anything about that......Thanks

I was wondering , Is it possible if we can get 'forced' notifications to all the members of the forum. in that I know that you can opt to get notifications if anyone replies/adds a discussion topic to the forum, but if there was a way that we all got these notifications then it would make it hard for the members to ignore the activities going on in the forum or forget about it ... Just a thought .. i know its possible to do this for blogs but I am not too sure about the workings of a forum. Lets look in to this ..

Hkay are you talking about getting notification of a new message....Yeah that is possible....If anyone replies you can get a notification on your e-mail address....But you need to activate that yourself.....At the end of the topic it is written that....''watch the topic for replies''....You can click there and you can recieve notifications for that particular topic...Thanks

This is a very good way of keeping in touch with all our members.......I think everyone should be receiving notifications on their email ids so that they can be regular users.....If anyone wants to receive those notifications please go to your profile and select the ''allow notification tab''.........and i will post some screen shots on how to do that......That will be done soon enough.....Thanks
